CU New Student Trip
2017
We busted out and decided to give right field a shot for the first time. Not bad.
Then it was up to Winter Park for some quality time at the famed Log Palace.
The Jackos headed to Denver/Boulder to enjoy the Rockies and orient Zoe to CU.
Our first stop was a Rockies game with the Clemens fam and Dean.
On his way back, he had to wait until someone came along to drag this tree aside.
The next day we rented bikes and rode around town. Here we are having lunch.
Here comes Ry making his way down on the alpine slide at Winter Park.
The back patio jacuzzis at the The Zephyr Condos at the base of the mountain.
Here's Ryan learning to slowly sneak up on the fish for maximum success.
On our way down to Boulder, we made our way through Rocky Mountain National Park, which is just amazing. Here is one of the many alpine lakes there.
A visit to Winter Park isn't complete without a trip to Hernando's Pizza.
The next day, Zoe and Flip hung out while the boys went back to go fishing.
And here he is spending some quality time with the buff outside of Folsom Field.
That night Craig and Zoe enjoyed the Shakespeare Festival.
The next day, Zoe began her Buff life in the same building where Craig's ended.
One Boulder tradition that always satisfies is the trip up Flagstaff Mountain.
The opening act was Hirie, who always puts on a great reggae show.
With an elk's butthole
in the background, the
Jackos bid you farewell.
After a day on the mountain, Craig snuck out to go fishing.
This young elk was hanging out very close to our trail so we took his picture.
There are so many tasty looking creeks here, it was driving Craig nuts.
The Jackos all together at the top of one of their hikes. What a great view.
Back to the campus for the afternoon, Ryan got an icon shot at Farrand Field.
Ry is perfecting that "why do you keep taking my picture" look for high school.
On a hike, we found this doe feeding on her mom--never seen that before.
The next night, it was off to Red Rocks to see Michael Franti & Spearhead.
